SUMMARY:Sexpertease: Sexual Health Is for Every Body
DESCRIPTION:Sexpertease will present a five-episode televised and livestreamed educational series throughout September 2026 in recognition of World Sexual Health Day and Sexual Health Month. \nHosted by sexual health educator and TV host Erica Rivera\, the series will explore sexual health as whole-person health\, adult sexual healthcare\, pleasure\, sexuality across the lifespan\, and barriers to inclusive sexual health education and services. \nThe series is designed for an adult general audience and aligns with the 2026 “Every Body” theme by emphasizing that sexual health\, accurate information\, dignity\, access\, consent\, pleasure\, communication\, and well-being should extend across bodies\, ages\, identities\, backgrounds\, abilities\, relationships\, and life stages. \nThe goal is for viewers to leave with practical\, shame-free information they can use to make more informed decisions\, communicate more openly\, and better understand sexual health as an important part of lifelong health and well-being.

SUMMARY:Wellness Day: Every Body\, One Story
DESCRIPTION:We are planning a comprehensive\, multi-generational event titled “Wellness Day: Every Body\, One Story\,” held within the framework of the global WSHD 2026 “Every Body” campaign. \nOur event is designed to bring the campaign’s theme to life by reaching diverse groups within our community: secondary school students (12–16 years old)\, older adults\, and the broader university population. This approach ensures that voices and bodies often left out of the conversation on sexual health are centered. \nThe activities we have planned are: \n  \n\nAn Experiential Workshop (“My Body\, My Story”): A 3-hour\, interactive workshop for students to explore the relationship between their bodies\, sexual health\, and well-being through guided conversation and collective art (creating a mural).\nPip-Pon Express (“My Body\, My Voice”): A dynamic video booth where students can participate in short\, anonymous micro-interviews\, sharing their personal perspectives on what their body and sexual health mean to them. This creates an original audiovisual product to be shared online with the #WSHD2026 and #EveryBody hashtags.\nA Conversation Circle (“Let’s Talk About Our Body\, Let’s Talk About Our Life”): A safe\, respectful dialogue space for older adults to discuss sexuality\, affection\, and health in later life\, directly addressing the taboos and myths surrounding aging bodies.\n\nWhat we hope people will take away: \n  \n\nKnowledge and Awareness: Participants will gain access to updated\, accurate\, and reliable information on sexual health\, promoting a stigma-free vision of the body\, affection\, and relationships at every stage of life.\nA Sense of Connection: Through intergenerational dialogue and a focus on the “Every Body” theme\, we aim to build a more inclusive community where participants see their own experiences and bodies reflected and valued.\nEmpowerment and Practical Tools: By attending workshops and conversation circles\, people will leave with practical tools for self-care and personal commitments to their well-being.\nA Shift in Perspective: A fundamental goal is to contribute to a world where sexual health and well-being are recognized as belonging to every person\, in every body\, without exception.

SUMMARY:Radical Body Compassion for Every Body: A Biopsychosocial Approach to Sexual Health
DESCRIPTION:World Sexual Health Day takes place on 4 September 2026. This year’s World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) theme\, Every Body\, recognises that sexual health is lived in a body and influenced by the world around us\, and that not all bodies have equal access to sexual health\, wellbeing\, rights\, justice and pleasure. Written as two words\, Every Body is about making all kinds of bodies welcome in the pursuit of sexual health. \nThis workshop explores the relevance of the Every Body theme for psychosexual and relationship therapists. Drawing on the principles of Radical Body Compassion\, we will consider how people’s relationships with their bodies are shaped by social\, cultural and relational experiences\, and how these can influence sexual wellbeing\, intimacy\, desire\, pleasure\, self-worth and connection. \nUsing a biopsychosocial perspective\, we will explore the physical\, psychological\, social and contextual factors that shape people’s experiences of their bodies and sexual health. Participants will be invited to consider how these experiences may present within therapeutic work\, including how intersecting aspects can influence sexual wellbeing and access to care\, and how therapists can respond with greater awareness. \nThe workshop will introduce the principles of Radical Body Compassion and explore how mindfulness- and compassion-based practices may support both therapists and clients. Through guided reflection\, experiential exercises and case discussion\, participants will develop insights to inform psychosexual assessment\, formulation and therapeutic practice. \nSeminar Schedule \n2:00–2:10Welcome\, introductions and short arrival practice \n2:10–2:30World Sexual Health Day 2026 and the World Association for Sexual Health theme\, Every Body. \nExploring the relevance of the theme to sexual health and psychosexual and relationship therapy practice through a biopsychosocial lens. \n2:30–3:00Introduction to Radical Body Compassion \n\nWhat we mean by Radical Body Compassion\nRecognising how power operates in systems such as social justice\, body politics\, body privilege and oppression in psychosexual work\nApplying a systems-orientation to what has historically been personal work to explore how social and cultural messages about bodies can be internalised and the influence on sexual health\nIntroducing practices that help to identify when individuals may be critical of their responses to an environment\, and how to zoom out and learn enough about the systems that create that environment to criticize the environment itself\nIntroducing mindful compassion practices and their relevance to psychosexual work\n\n3:00–3:30Invitation to experiential trauma informed mindful compassionate practice \nCompassionate body scan and enquiry. \n3:30–3:45Clinical applications in psychosexual therapy \nThrough a case study informed by Natasha’s clinical and research expertise\, we will explore the intersection of neurodivergence and women’s health in psychosexual work. \n3:45–3:50Closing reflections and key takeaways. \n3:50–4:00Q&A

SUMMARY:Every body: What voices\, bodies\, and contexts are missing from the conversation about sexual health? (Every body: Que vozes\, corpos e contextos estão em falta no diálogo sobre saúde sexual?)
DESCRIPTION:On September 4th\, 2026 — Portugal’s National Sexual Health Day — the Portuguese Society of Clinical Sexology (SPSC) will host an online event titled Every Body: What voices\, bodies and contexts are missing from the conversation about sexual health? \nInspired by the World Sexual Health Day 2026 theme\, Every Body\, this event is built on a simple but powerful premise: sexual health\, rights\, justice and pleasure belong to every person\, in every body\, without exception. And yet\, there are communities whose experiences\, needs and knowledge remain largely absent from sexual health education\, clinical practice and academic discourse in Portugal. \nThe event brings together voices from communities that are rarely heard in this context\, not to speak about them\, but to learn with them. Each guest will share their community’s perspective around three guiding questions: What is missing in sexual health education about my community? What are the greatest sexual health challenges faced by my community? And how can spaces for conversations about sexual health\, including clinical consultations\, sexual education and academia\, become more inclusive and adapted? \nThe session will open with Marta Crawford and Patrícia Pascoal\, who will set the stage for the conversation\, with Patrícia Pascoal also moderating the panel. Guests include a clinical psychologist and decolonial activist working with LGBTQIA+ and racialised communities\, a digital educator and creator focused on LGBTQIA+ rights\, a psychologist and anticapacitist activist representing people with disabilities\, the Technical Director of Anémona\, an association supporting trans\, non-binary and queer people\, and a gynaecologist and sexologist specialising in female sexuality and menopause. \nThis event is aimed at sexual health professionals\, educators\, researchers and the general public. No registration is required. We hope attendees leave with a deeper understanding of the gaps that still exist in sexual health discourse\, and with concrete insights on how their own practice\, teaching or advocacy can become more responsive to the communities that are too often left out of the conversation. \nThe event will be streamed live on September 4th at 5pm on the SPSC YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuwezXIjg4-79n6mQ00Gzcg
